JWS Architecture is a design studio based in Austin, TX.  John West Stoddard started the studio in 2009 to focus on residental additions/renovations and new construction.  His professional experience includes firms such as Appleton & Associates, Centerbrook Architects & Planners, and Kallman, Mckinnell & Wood Architects, to name a few.

John's bachelor (B.S. Architecture; 2003) and master (M. Architecture; 2011) degrees are both from Northeastern University. In 2011, his graduate thesis design work was awarded the Northeastern University Outstanding Student Research Award for Humanities & Arts. This award is given to only one graduate architecture student annually.

His travels have included Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, England, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia,  Italy, Mexico, Morocco, Malaysia, Nepal, New Zealand, Scotland, Spain, Switzerland, and Thailand. In addition, he served as a Teacher’s Assistant for one year at Studio Art Centers International (S.A.C.I.) in Florence, Italy.
